TPU
Description
TPU, short for Thermoplastic Polyurethane, is a polymer material that combines the high elasticity of rubber with the processability of plastic. Its core performance features are: 1. Excellent elasticity and toughness: High elongation at break, quick recovery after compression or stretching, and strong impact resistance. 2. Good weather and chemical resistance: Resistant to high and low temperatures (typically -40°C to 120°C), resistant to UV aging, and has good tolerance to oils, weak acids, and weak alkalis. 3. Easy processing: Can be formed via conventional plastic processes like injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding. Waste can also be recycled. 4. Good biocompatibility: Some medical-grade TPUs can be used for medical products like catheters and prosthetics. TPU is widely used in footwear, phone cases, hoses, sporting goods, and medical devices.
