Description

The Kings-SLS equipment utilizes the principle of powder materials sintering under laser irradiation, with computer-controlled layer-by-layer stacking. SLS technology also uses layered additive manufacturing, but it first spreads a layer of powder material, preheats it to near its melting point, then uses a laser to scan the cross-section of that layer, raising the powder temperature to the melting point for sintering and bonding. This powder spreading and sintering process is repeated until the entire model is complete. A wide variety of materials are available at relatively low cost. As long as a material has low viscosity when heated, it can generally be used for SLS, including polymers, metals, ceramics, gypsum, nylon, and other powder materials.
