Water-Soluble Support
水溶支撑
Description
Water-soluble 3D printing support material is a type of special support material that dissolves in water. Its core function is to provide support for complex structures like overhangs and cantilevers in FDM 3D printing. After printing, it can be removed by simply dissolving in water, eliminating the need for manual peeling. Its key performance features are as follows: 1. Excellent water solubility: Mainstream materials (e.g., PVA, PEG, water-soluble PETG) dissolve quickly in room temperature or warm water (40-60°C). Agitation or ultrasonic cleaning can further enhance efficiency. It leaves no residue, perfectly preserving the model's fine details. 2. Strong support stability: It is highly compatible with common modeling materials like PLA and ABS during printing. The formed support structure has moderate hardness, resists deformation and collapse, ensuring printing accuracy for complex models. 3. Clear limitations: Most water-soluble materials (like PVA) are highly hygroscopic and require sealed, dry storage to prevent nozzle clogging; the dissolution speed of some materials is affected by...
