Description
Electron Beam Selective Melting (EBSM) technology uses a high-energy electron beam as the energy source for selective melting of metal powder. It offers advantages such as high vacuum, low stress, high efficiency, and fast response, suitable for high-quality forming of high-melting-point, highly reflective, hard, and brittle materials like TiAl, pure copper/copper alloys, and refractory/hard-to-weld alloys. Current 'line scanning' strategies face issues like poor thermal control, susceptibility to cracking and deformation, and low efficiency and precision in fitting complex curves. Xi'an Smart Manufacturing (XSM) pioneered Electron Beam Spot Printing technology in China, changing 'line scanning' to 'spot scanning'. This generates thousands of 'spot melt pools' instantly, achieving 'single gun, multi-beam, spot-surface melting', effectively improving both precision and efficiency.
