AVIC Manufacturing Technology Institute (referred to as 'AVIC Manufacturing Institute') is a directly affiliated business unit of Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd. (AVIC), comprising two research institutes and one listed company. The institute primarily undertakes fundamental, applied, and engineering transformation research in aviation materials, manufacturing processes, and specialized equipment. It has provided a vast array of advanced manufacturing technologies and process equipment for the development of China's new aircraft, engines, missiles, and other aviation equipment, as well as for technological upgrades in aviation factories. Additionally, it provides advanced manufacturing technologies to other sectors of the national defense industry, such as aerospace, electronics, ordnance, and marine. It has established long-term technical exchanges and economic cooperation with research institutions and enterprises in over 30 countries and regions, including the United States, Russia, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Japan.
