China Iron & Steel Research Institute Group (referred to as CISRI) was established in December 2006 with the approval of the SASAC of the State Council, through the merger of the former Central Iron & Steel Research Institute and the Automation Research and Design Institute of Metallurgical Industry. CISRI is China's R&D base for new metal materials, an innovation base for major key and common technologies in the metallurgical industry, an authoritative national institution for metallurgical analysis and testing technology, and a national demonstration base for mass entrepreneurship and innovation. It owns four listed companies and several high-tech enterprises. With new metal material technology as its core business, it provides customers with full lifecycle material solutions.
