GW Laser Tech, founded in September 2014 and headquartered in Connecticut, USA, was established by a founding team of laser technology experts including two Chinese-Americans. With over 10 years of collaboration, the GW team has provided various fiber laser technical solutions to major US research institutions and large industrial enterprises, including Lincoln Laboratory and Prima North America. GW's long-term focus has been on enhancing the power and energy density of fiber lasers, particularly single-cavity lasers. GW represents the team's dedication to technology; Gigga Watt signifies gigawatt, or one billion watts. Guanghui (Shanghai) Laser Technology Co., Ltd. is the Sino-foreign joint venture established by GW LaserTech in mainland China in November 2015, responsible for the assembly, sales, service, and application solutions for GW's fiber lasers in the Asia-Pacific region.
